Osaka Castle an emblem of the city.

Osaka is one of the most famous building as a castle worldwide and in Japan. 
It is one of the iconic symbol of Osaka and the Kansai region and one of the main attraction of tourists.The caste is knows for its beauty and  aesthetic of its architecture, the construction of the castle started back in 1583, however the castle was destroyed a few years later due to an attack from Tokugawa Ieyasu, The reconstruction of the castle only started in 1913 and now the castle park covers two kilometers of the green space! It is a must see destination if you are in Osaka as it represent the Kansai region and its history. Osaka Castle has about 13 structures and among them you can see its ornamental carvings such as dolphins and tigers that are all completely covered in gold leaf. Also the Castle has an impressive stone wall, its structure is approximately more than 20 meters high and was made with more than 1,000,000 large stone blocks! 
Osaka Castle offers an amazing view and you can enjoy a 360° view on the city which is very pleasing for the eyes. There is also a museum in the Castle that explains its history and how it was built over time which is a must when visiting the castle to understand a part of the Kansai history. Osaka Castle contains an amazing and beautiful park that you can also visit while riding a bike and it is worth the view of its gardens especially during spring when it is the ‘cherry trees’ season. 
It is easy to access the Osaka Castle, the recommended way to it is through the Otemon Gate ( Park’s southwestern corner) and the closest station is called Tanimachi Yonchome. 
So if you are in Osaka, take a day or two to go and visit the emblematic building of Osaka.
